Golden Blossoms

The name Aurea was inspired by the Golden Blossoms of the rare native New Zealand Golden Pōhutukawa Tree. Just like this special tree, we believe a solid foundation with strong roots, connection to heritage, family and community gives a child the confidence to become whatever they want to be in life. Pronounced {OR - ee - ah} is the Latin word for golden, and symbolises the gold standard of excellence our preschool and nursery achieves. 

ERO certified & fully licensed

Aurea is fully licensed and proudly meets all Ministry of Education regulations. We were most recently reviewed by the Education Review Office (ERO) in 2025, with positive feedback that reflects the trust our families place in us every day.

Over 80% of our team hold formal early childhood qualifications and are always growing their skills through ongoing training. They’re warm, experienced, and passionate about helping our children thrive.
